Google Changes Again and POSTAL Rate Increases

Good Afternoon Everyone, and Thank You for visiting with LilacsNDreams! For all sellers who maybe have noticed yet, there are changes taking place with some of the Google searches. Does not effect all of Google, and will only appear to effect Google Shopping, but it is something to note. See what you as sellers will have to do with your listings, check on what to do with your websites, and etc.

Also, if you have not already seen it, or noticed it on April 17th there was an increase to some of the USPS Shipping rates too. To see all those changes by visiting your USPS.com website for this.

Online Merchants Face USPS Annual Increases With Shipping Costs

Hello to all, and Welcome to LilacsNDreams!:) WOW! Where has the time gone again? I thought I was just in here the other day, but evidentally not:(  

I am one of those who gets newsletters from Auctionbytes all the time. Annoying, but good though too. I can keep updated with different things that would effect me as a seller, and also a shopper too. Keep updated with some of the different marketplaces, and etc. Anyway....here is one of the latest announcements from them.....

Share  Whichever carrier you use to ship your orders, you'll be paying more beginning in January. FedEx announced on Friday it would increase shipping rates for FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery by a net average of 4.9% effective January 3, 2011. Like UPS, the 2011 rates are actually rising by 5.9% but will be offset by a 1% reduction in the fuel surcharge. FedEx had previously announced it would increase shipping rates for FedEx Express, also effective January 3, 2011, and said it would implement a change to the dimensional weight volumetric divisor from 194 to 166 for U.S. domestic services. The USPS had announced that its prices for Priority Mail and other Shipping Services would increase overall by 3.6% effective January 2, 2011, pending Postal Regulatory Commission review. In related news, UPS said that it expected to deliver an estimated 430 million packages between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I know it is not something we all like to hear about, but it is happening with some of the services. As for the USPS Services it looks like they are waiting on a pending review....just have to see what happens.
